Why do people cover songs in the bathroom?

So i've always been one to search for random youtube singers because i like to see what else there is outside of the celebrity world. A lot of people like to make covers of popular songs, and post them on youtube and try to get famous.

So.. one question: Why tape yourself singing in the bathroom? 

It's gonna be really attractive if you end up on Ellen and there's a toilet or a shower curtain in the background!

Long story short: you most likely sound the same both in and out of the bathroom!
